The Scientology cult (called church of Scientology in Israel) is suspected and accused of slavery by at least one former church member who disseminated propaganda for the cult.

Though the church is located in a magnificent historic building that cost millions to fully renovate (with support from Tel Aviv City Hall), residents and passers-by are nevertheless worried.

"As soon as I get off the bus, people from this cult start talking to me or my children to get us interested in their faith," says Kristell R., a local resident for whom the closest bus stop to her home is right outside the cult’s front door.

However, the issue that concerns Scientology today is an accusation of having employed a church member more than full-time (7 days a week, between 5 and 7 hours a day) for a monthly salary that varied between 50 euros and 150 euros.

The slave joined the cult in 2006 and began working for it in 2010.

"Inside the church, everything is regulated like clockwork. We have no right to our own opinions, we must agree with those of the church leaders in Israel and the United States. We have to obey and be loyal. We must be discreet, " says the victim. "Otherwise, sinners are punished. "

What action will be taken by the Israeli justice system, which seems to be partially infiltrated by Scientology? The answer will be known in a few weeks ...
