No, this is not about Babs. I have started reading Trouble maker, and have gotten as far as her going on acting auditions and finally landing a part on Ted Dansen's show. What really struck me, was her apt description of how it was to be in Scientology back when the Big Blue had just been bought, when Randy ran NY Georges - and George Keck ran Georges general store.
Her portrayal of the: lets make it happen - how we felt so competent and able - nothing was impossible to achieve, awakened long forgotten memories of when I felt that way, when Scientology was something you WANTED to do - not what it became - Scientology was something you must do - how it went from fun to enforcement as it became a bureaucracy under COB's hand.
What a fun read. WahHHH!! I want those days to come back! They were fun and full of life. So, for a while, this morning, I went to work with that same attitude - till stress overtook me and I tried ( and failed) to keep my temper under control in the face of idiocy, sick workers not showing up, an unkept promise of a completion due last week, and a stupidly insane schedule I foisted off on my self.
Well, tomorrow's another day and I'll try again to have that joy, that no bridge too far outlook on life I used to have.
