Hello to All

I am what I have seen called a "Never-In. My closest encounter with Scientology was in 1975 or 76 in Times Square in NY. My friend and I were each given a copy of Dianetics. After enthusiastic conversation from the recruiter we were invited to a party. We did attend. Spooked the heck out of us, and that was he end of that. Never read the book. I have followed the plight on ex-Scientologists for the past couple of years. Leah coming out has reignited my interest and caused me to investigate more than ever. I am now beyond just following along because of the stories from the individuals experiences I have read. First, to all of you that survived the nightmare, you have my respect. Second, as for some time, I continue to wonder how in the heck this organization survives and gets away with what they do, although by reading the stories and posts I see how they operate. I am appalled the media, the government and the authorities on every level look away. So many families and lives devastated. From my readings of over a week now here, at Tony's, Marty's, and many other sites, I am in horror with I am learning. My heart hurts for those that have suffered and those still trapped within the scn grasp. I reach out my hand in friendship and support. I'd like your opinions as to how one little person, never having been in, can help to bring awareness. If nothing else, please know I care. I get it. I support you, where ever you are in your journey. This man, David Mis... must be brought to justice somehow. I care not about the "religion" or the beliefs anyone chooses. What I care about is a psychopath abusing human beings, especially children, who have no choice. I worry for those still in the Sea Org, unaware there is help and support out there for them. I care about human beings brainwashing and torturing other people. Oh, and Mr. Cruise...I haven't watched a movie of his for years because of his involvement in Scientology. And that was before I truly began to learn about the horrors I have read in the past week alone. Again, I extend a hand in friendship and a mind in support.
